Give reason why Tungsten is used in designing of filament of electric bulb....

earlier Edison had tried many filament of different materials but there was a problem that when the filaments heated they would melt but this was not the case for tungsten as it's melting point was high so the filament would not melt because of heating effect of the current

Tungsten is used as filaments in bulbs because it has a very high melting point.

When it gets electrical supply it doesn't get burnt nor starts melting as its melting point is very high.
