When silver i.e., Ag which is white in colour is kept in sunlight due to decomposition by light which is also known as photo decomposition the Agcl that is, silver chloride gets decomposed means Silver and chlorine will be separated.
Chemical equation can be written as:-
2Agcl + sunlight = 2Ag + Cl2
