Winding roads are made on hills, because -
• The road on the hills goes upward with the increasing length of the road.
• Now,if we make normal straight roads which directly goes to the top portion of the hill, then the allover slope of the road will be increased a lot and an extremely inclined road is not suitable for driving vehicles.
• That's why we make a winding roads because it reduces the allover surface inclination in every portion of the road which is suitable for driving the vehicles.
