Give reason winding roads are made on hills

so that the hill can take up the load of the road and the vehicles moving in it and also so that the load is distributed in the whole area

Winding roads are made on hills, because -

• The road on the hills goes upward with the increasing length of the road.

• Now,if we make normal straight roads which directly goes to the top portion of the hill,then the allover slope of the road will be increased a lot and an extremely inclined road is not suitable for driving vehicles.

• That's why we make a winding roads because it reduces the allover surface inclination in every portion of the road which is suitable for driving the vehicles.
