planets do not twinkle because they are closer to earth... and no atmospheric refraction occur.

pranavblue66: planets do not twinkle, as they are closer to earth than stars which are several light years away. thus , lesser atmospheric refractions or atmospheric disturbances occur.

planets are very large in size as compared to stars with respect to distance ,,, so they experience less atmospheric refraction. and due reason light displacement is almost negligible .

hope it helps u dear
