Most of the fungus are non-edible and can cause several diseases if they are eaten with the food materials.
But yeast is one of the most important edible fungus which we use for different cooking procedures.
Similarly, we use yeast in the batter of dosa ,in order to perform the the fermentation process in the batter.This fermentation process is necessary for the perfect cooking of dosa.
