Give reasons: 1)For making gold ornamets, 22-carat gold is preffered to 24-carat gold.

The reason behind this is 24-carat gold is referred as pure gold that is no other element or metal rather than gold...so the pure gold is very soft which is not easy to handle because of its softness..so 22-carat gold is not fully pure but easy to handle..so it is preferred than 24-carat gold

pure gold is relatively soft with a low yield point and this has several drawbacks in the fabrication of 24 ct gold jewellery, jewellery can't made of 24ct .u can't mould and provide various shape to the jwEllery design...24 ct gold is very soft.so need substance with lesser dutility (copper and other alloys) to make gold little reactive..and provide the design shape.
