give reasons:
1)generally metals are not found in free state.
2)metals are good conductors of electricity.

FuturePoet: 1) Metals not found in free state because it depends on their reactivity .
FuturePoet: 2) Metals are good conductor of electricity because they have free electrons . As they allow electric charge to flow freely through them .
FuturePoet: Hope it helps @Sowmiya35 Sis!

#Hello Mate#

Reasons are:-

1.) Metal are very reactive and unstable. In surroundings, they react with other elements to form compounds to attain stability. Hence they do not occur in free state.

2.)Metals are good conductors of electricity, because they allow electric charge to flow freely through them. The free electrons allow them to conduct electricity.

Hope my answer will help you

Give reasons :

Metals are not found in free state .

Metals are highly reactive . They have 1 , 2 or 3 valence electrons in their outermost shell . Hence they can easily lose these valence electrons and combine with other non-metals .

This makes them highly reactive . Also the metals are highly electropositive and hence they are attracted to highly electronegative elements . Thus they are found always in the combined state.

Metals are good conductor of electricity .

Metals have free ions and therefore they can easily conduct electricity . Metals have few valence electrons in their outermost shell and hence they can easily lose the electrons to form ions . There fore they are very good conductors of electricity as electricity is nothing but the movement of free ions .

MORE INFORMATION :

A good conductor of electricity is a substance which allows large amount of electric current to pass through them .

An electric current is nothing but the movement of free ions .

There fore the presence of free ions are vital for electric conduction .

Also metals are highly electropositive as they are present at the top right hand corners and the right side of the Modern Periodic Table . They are hence super reactive . Metals form cations only by losing the valence electrons from their outermost shells.
