Give reasons
1) In spite of the Aravalis many parts of Rajasthan do not receive much rain.
2) The Malabar coast has less rainy months but receives more rain than Coromandal Coast.
3) Punjab has three sources of rain.
Mawsynram receives more rain than Shillong.​

1. due to the leeward side of the hills most part of Rajasthan is rain deficit.

2. Western Ghat is slightly inclined as going from west to east and steep from east to west, making it highly watery region due to Monsoon rain and also responsible for the rich biodiversity.
