  1. Rift valleys have steep sides because they are formed when the earth crust is divided. they are not like those valleys which are formed by soil erotion
  2. It is tall and huge flat plateau landform which surrounded by high mountains because,when the Indian peninsular pushed the Asian continental land,this plateau created and the huge mountains were created respectively due to the tectonic pressure.
