1. the heating element in a heating device becomes red hot but not the connecting chord to the device .

ANSWER:-

The heating element of the heater is made up of alloy which have very high resistance so when currents flow through the heating element it becomes too hot and glows red. but the resistance of cord usually of copper and aluminium is very law so it does not glow.
