1) Morarji desai became the prime minister of india supported by the Janata party alliance in the year of 1977.

His government was short-lived because of the following reasons.

  1. The primary reason was not getting the magic m.p. numbers in parliament.
  2. His tenture made the elite circle, lutyens club, and the capital intelligentsia annoyed with him.
  3. Desais tenture had some questionable decisions from a natural security point of view.
  4. His closeness and favour to Pakistan especially Pakistani general-dictator Zia Ul Hoque was not liked by the nation.

etc...

2) The army had to be sent into the golden temple amritsar to bring out the Sikh militant leader jarnail Singh Brindrawale and his group that were hiding inside the building. As a result, firing took place the premises of the holy building that was considered to be holy place to the Sikhs.

3.National planning commission is set up by J.L. Nehriun the form of executive order, for the purpose of:

  1. economic development and growth of India.
  2. welfare and development of India.
  3. It is overseen by economic advisory council and national advisory council of the government.
  4. They are many people who criticized planning commission from his birth.

The first finance minister of India John Mathai resigned as finance minister quoting planning commission as a "Super cabinet". but one significant remark is done by Ajay chibber, a Stanford alumnus.

It is better to replace it, then repair such as large body.

The purpose and necessity of this commission is questionable and is under rethinking and review.
