Give reasons :
1) Water is not used to control fires involving oil and petrol.
2)Charcoal does not produce flame.
3) We should not sleep in a closed room with burning or smouldering coal fire in it.

1.Water is not used to extinguish fire caused by electrical circuits because it would aggravate tha situation. While we can also not use it to extinguish fire caused by petroleum products and oils as they are lighter than water and float on its surface.

2.Coal too burns in air producing carbon dioxide, heat and light. But it does not produce any flame. ... The substances which vaporize during burning give flames. For example combustion of kerosene oil produces flame.

3.when coal is burnt it emits lots of smoke which contains high amount of carbon monoxide . So when you sleep in a closed room with burning coal the air you inhale is carbon monoxide which is obviously not good for humans . After sitting in that room ( closed room) for some time you will start feeling dizzy may cause headache also , sleeping in that room is extremely dangerous as there are many cases where people sleeping in closed room with burning coal have died due to inhalation of carbon monoxide .Hence it is not advisable to sleep with burning coal in closed room
