Answer:

A) A map is accurate than globe because a globe is a model of earth while a map is drawing of a particular place, so you find the where you are and where you want to visit.

B) In Verbal scale, the units of distance are mentioned in the map. ... This means that 1 cm on the map corresponds to a distance of 100 km on the ground. But in linear scale, the units of distance are not mentioned. A linear scale helps in the direct measurement of distance on a map without providing the units of distance.

C) Pole star helps us to finds the directions because it is always see in the Northern horision. Thus, facing towards North directions. it shows the direction towards the north.

Hope it helps you....

Explanation:

Answer 1) A map is more accurate than a globe because a map is a pictorial representation of a particular area which means it will be more specific and clearer to understand see . But the same thing cannot be said for the globe . A globe is a spherical structure having all the countries in the world made in it due to which it wont be able to give us a lot of details like a map gives us , so a map is more accurate than a globe .

Answer 2) A verbal scale is not as popular as a linear scale because we generally dont have scales mentioned in maps . Since verbal scale means giving the measurement of each cm or m of land you have drawn it is generally uncommon. As linear scale is a map marking technique without giving any particular measurement in it , so it is more common .

Answer 3) pole star is useful in finding directions because a pole star always points toward the north . since ,If we know one direction we can find other directions this pole star is useful to sailors who have lost their way or is generally useful to anyone who is travelling through the sea route .
