a) Na and Mg has less affinity towards carbon because these metals are highly reactive. So carbon cannot reduce the oxides of Sodium and Magnesium.
b) This is because it dissociates into ions in its the aquaeous state
c) Galvanization is a protective coating of zinc that is done to steel or iron to prevent them from corrosion.
The galvanised iron article is protected against rusting even if the zinc layer is broken because zinc is more gets oxidized easily oxidised than iron.
So, when zinc layer on the surface of galvanised iron article is broken, then zinc continues to corrode but iron article does not corrode or rust.
d) Because of it's electronic arrangement and low electro negativity, these metal oxidizes easily even with air moisture. these metal tends to lose an electron to reach electronic state of Neon, the previous stable nobel gas.
