a) Though, evolution has resulted in the generation of several new varieties of species but the old species have not been eliminated from the Earth. Moreover, many of the newly formed species are not as superior as compared to the older ones. Thus, evolution could not be considered as progress.

b) There isn’t just one or a few genes involved in skin color. Hundreds of different stretches of DNA working together decide the baby's skin color. Basically, actions can help change how the body reads DNA. Thus, biological father and mother of fair complexion can have a child with brown complexion.
