Hello Friend,

Frenkel Defect is shown by ionic solids having low co-ordination number and in which anions are larger in size than cations.

When we particularly consider NaCl, it is a ionic solid having high co-ordination number and in which cations and anions are are of equal sizes. So, Therefore it shows Schottky defect and not Frenkel defect.

Hope it helps...

This is due to the actuality of an ion which has giant dimension , so it can't go well with into interstitial sites.

When Silicon is doped with phosphorus which has five valence electrons it types four covalent bonds with four neighboring Silicon atoms.

The fifth improved electron will come to be delocalized and make massive the conductivity applicable right here, To make greater in conductivity the negatively charged electron taken for this purpose is doped with phosphorus will diagnosed as the n-type semiconductor.

In Ferromagnetic belongings domains are aligned in opposite route in unequal vary and because of this they have some net magnetic moment.

On the exceptional hand in antiferromagnetic elements the domains aligned in opposite suggestions are equal in range, So they cancel magnetic second genuinely and subsequently have zero magnetic moment. These domains is majorly responsible for Frenkel Deffect.
