c) alpha particle are thick which have about 1000 atoms compare to other foil
b) nucleus have proton which are positively charged and they are in nuleous so that nucleus are charged with positive charged
b) nucleus have proton which are positively charged and they are in nuleous so that nucleus are charged with positive charged

Answer:
(a) Mass number of atom excludes the mass of electron because the mass of the electrons is negligible.
(b) Nucleus contains protons and neutrons. Protons are positively charged while neutrons are neutral. Therefore, the nucleus is positively charged.
(c) Gold is the most malleable. i.e. very thin sheets (foil) can be made from of gold. So, gold is the only suitable metal for Alpha particle scattering experiment.
