a) Socialism stands for socio-economic equality beyond any caste, color, creed, and religion. Discrimination of man and woman was the main concern of socialism.

b) It is important to hold elections in a democratic country because elections are the lifelines of democracy. It is only through elections that the people choose their own government. Elections are regularly held in most countries at a regular intervals of five years. If the government does not work according to the wishes of the people. The people may not choose the same government in the next elections.

c) Though India became a free nation on August 15, 1947, it declared itself a Sovereign, Democratic and Republic state with the adoption of the Constitution on January 26, 1950.The Constitution gave the citizens of India the power to choose their own government and paved the way for democracy.

d) A Constitution helps serve as a set of rules and principles that all persons in a country can agree upon as the basis of the way in which they want the country to be governed. The constitution also spells out the ideals the citizens believe that their country should uphold.

e) It is very important to promote fraternity in India because India is a nation of diverse communities and thus fraternity (brotherhood) leads to the unity and integrity of the nation. The unity further leads to the prosperity and development. Fraternity is very important for the security of the country.
