Answer:

a) Paper by itself catches fire easily whereas a piece of paper wrapped around an aluminium pipe does not. Ans. ... It does not catch fire when wrapped around aluminium pipe because aluminium absorbs the heat, so paper does not attain its ignition temperature.

b)The goldsmith uses the outermost zone of the flame to use for melting gold and silver because it is the hottest part of the flame and undergoes complete combustion

c) LPG has more calorific value and produces no pollution. So it is better domestic fuel than wood. (c) The ignition temperature of paper is less, so it catches fire easily. It does not catch fire when wrapped around aluminium pipe because aluminium absorbs the heat, so paper does not attain its ignition temperature.

Answer:

(a) The aluminium is a non combustible substance . Hence if paper is wrapped around it and if it is ignited ,it will pass all the heat to the aluminium and therefore it will not burn as because the ignition temperature of the paper will never reach.

(b) The outermost layer of the flame has a temperature of about 1300°C . It is also the hottest part of the flame.

That'swhy the use this layer of flame.

(c) LPG is a gaseous fuel ,left no residue after burning , have low ignition temperature ,hence it is better domestic fuel than wood.
