1. This occurs because the molecules of sugar gets placed in the intermolecular species which are present in water.

• 2. When wet cloth is placed in the forehead there is absorption of water. As a result of this there is cooling of the surrounding forehead and hence the person feels better
• 3. There is evaporation of water from the surface of the tongue and hence there is cooling of the tongue which gives comfort to the dog
