When silver chloride ( white ) is exposed to sunlight then photo - decomposition take place so, that silver chloride breaks into silver metal ( grey ) and chlorine gas is released.

b)

copper substance ( brown ) when heated in air then it undergoes oxidation due to heating in presence of air that form a new substance copper oxide ( black ) .
