Give reasons carbn monnoxide and not carbon dioxide is a highly poisonous gas ?

Carbon monoxide (CO) is a poisonous gas. COis produced by incomplete combustion in the absence of oxygen and CO2 can not produce. Carbon monoxide binds very strongly to the iron in the hemoglobin causes impairment in oxygen affinity in human.
