Human rights are the basic freedoms given to the people of a country according to the Constitution of the country. These human rights include; the right to freedom of expression, speech, life etc. 

The Constitution of a country guarantees humans rights because; 

(i) It is created for the welfare of the people of the country. 

(ii) Provision of human rights is one of the basic needs of a democracy. 

(iii) Safety of the human rights of the citizens is an important part of the constitution.
