dioxygen is a gas at room temperature because it stays in its original gaseous state whereas metling point of sulphur is more than that of room temperature

The intermolecular forces in oxygen are weak van dar waals forces which causes it to exist as gas . on the other hand sulphur does not form strong S = S double bond hence exists as a puckered structure held by strong covalent bonds and exists as polyatomic molecule . so, it exists as solid
