a) Isotopes of an element have similar chemical properties because they have same number of electrons.

b) An atom has equal number of protons and neutrons.

c) Noble gases have completely filed shells which makes them stable by themselves and making them chemically unreactive.

d) Ions are stable because of the strong bonds and forces of attraction between the positive and negative ions.

e) Na has 11 electrons and therefore it's K and L shells are filled with 2 and 8 electrons up to their maximum capacity and one extra electron in the M shell. Note that the penultimate (last but one) she'll can have only 8 electrons till element 20.

Hope it helped........

a)

b) Because the number of electrons = number of protons

c)Because noble gases like argon , helium etc. have got all their shells complete i.e. they have got an octet.

d) ions are formed when out of two eleements one gives its electron(s) to other in an ionic bond so both the electrons will have all complete shells also it is the strongest bond.

e) Na (sodium) has completely filled K and L shells Because it's electronic configuration is 2,8,1 so M-shell will be incomplete but k and l will be complete.
