Answer:

Colourless solution of lime water or calcium hydroxide turns turbide Or milky by passing carbin dioxide through it because a chemical reaction takes place between Ca(OH) 2+CO2=CaCo3+H2O

The products formed is calcium carbonate solution and the calcium carbonate which is dissolved in water appears to be milky or turbid which is it's property.

Explanation:

A similar phenomena can be seen when we paint the walls . The products are calcium carbonate and water after the reaction of calcium oxide and Water.

Water evaporates and the calcium carbonate remains in the wall which apears shiny.
