a). Liquids assume the shape of their container because the bonds between the molecules are too weak to form or maintain any kind of ‘structure’, so they slip past each other and assume the shape of whatever is containing them.
b).liquids are usually more compressible than solids because there is more space between the particles of a liquid than there is between a solid.
