1.The dendrites of a neuron are thin, branching projections that receives the neurotransmitters and creates a change in voltage in the cell. The axons on the other hand are long projections whose function is to carry the action potential away from the cell body toward the next neuron.

2.Each alveolus is cup-shaped with very thin walls. It's surrounded by networks of blood vessels called capillaries that also have thin walls. The oxygen you breathe in diffuses through the alveoli and the capillaries into the blood.
