Give reasons for the following:

1) The term ‘Socialist’ was added to the preamble of our constitution, through the 42nd Amendment Act, in
the year 1976.

2) It was deemed necessary to have the word ‘Secular’ in the constitution, and so it was also added in the
amendment of 1976

3) Indian government is called a democratic republic system of government
