A quick answer to all the questions would be, Evaporation is a surface phenomenon and it's rate depends on the surface area.

We can say that, Rate of Evaporation is directly proportional to Surface area. Morer the surface Area , Greater the rate of evaporation.

1) Water in a dish evaporates faster than water of a bottle because more molecules of the water are exposed to heat in case of dish than bottle.

2) The reason why volatile liquids like alcohol and spirit are stored in tightly closed bottles is that they evaporate at a greater rate , their atoms being mostly unstable get evaporated very easily. The name " volatile " itself speaks about greater rate of evaporation.

3) The reason why cooling is produced on evaporation is To the molecules to become gas, they need to go far and this can be attained only by absorbing the heat .The heat of water molecules is absorbed to make gas molecules. hence, The water loses it heat and decreases it temperature. That's why evaporation is a cooling process.

4) Size of naphthalene balls decreases because they sublimate as gas through evaporation. When they are exposed to air, heat transfer happens and results in evaporation. Hence, Their size gets decreased
