There is no mixing of deoxygenated blood and oxygenated blood in the human heart normally because: ... Human heart has four chambers with two separate chambers for each oxygenated and deoxygenated blood. 2. In order to increase the efficiency of oxygen transport, mixing of blood is prevented.
