Answer:

a) Aluminium foil is also used for barbecuing delicate foods, such as mushrooms and vegetables. Using this method, sometimes called a hobo pack, food is wrapped in foil, then placed on the grill, preventing loss of moisture that may result in a less appealing texture.

b) Immersion rods are usually made of a heating elements like copper, steel and so on for the water to heat quickly. While choosing an immersion rod, keep in mind the material of the container. Ensure that the container does not conduct electricity.

c) Copper is less reactive than zinc and so placed below zinc in the reactivity series of metals. A less reactive metal cannot displace a more reactive metal from its salt solution. Hence, copper cannot displace zinc from its salt solution. for example, when a piece of copper is added to zinc sulphate solution, no reaction takes place 34.

d) Sodium and potassium are stored under kerosene because they have a very low ignition temprature and hence they are highly inflammable. They react with even very little water and air contains water vapour so when they are open in the air they burst with exposion.Hence, they are stored in kerosene

Aluminium is malleable and can be drawn into thin sheets hence Aluminium foils are used to wrap food items

Immersion rods for heating liquids are made up of metallic substances because metals are good conductors of heat and electricity.

Copper cannot displace zinc from its salt solution because Zinc is more reactive than copper.

Sodium and Potassium are highly reactive metals which readily reacts with atmospheric Oxygen to catch fire hence Sodium and Potassium are stored in kerosene.
