Answer:

Aluminum provides a better conductivity to weight ratio than copper, and therefore is also used for wiring power grids, including overhead power transmission lines and local power distribution lines, as well as for power wiring of some airplanes.

Cooking utensils are made uo of copper and aluminium because they are good conductors of heat and hence food can be easily cooked in them.Their handles are made up of plastic because plastic is poor conductor of heat due to which the handles do not get heated and we are sble to hold the utensil with their help.

hope it helps you

a. Aluminium is used for making electrical wires.

  • Aluminium is known for its low resistance and high conductivity. Being metal it's ductile hence, used for making electrical wires.
  • Apart from that, Aluminum is resistant to corrosion and doesn't degrade over time.
  • It's cheap and widely available.

b. Cooking utensils are made of metals but their handles are made of wood or plastic.

  • Metal is a good conductor of heat.
  • The cooking utensils are made of metals because they distribute an equal amount of heat for proper cooking.
  • Their handles are made of wood because it prevents the hands from burning.
