a) Reason :-

  • Delhi is located in northern part of india & it is far away from coastal areas . Chennai is southern part of india and lies on thermal equator and Chennai is near to the coastal area. This shows that Chennai has > humidity than Delhi.

b) Reason :-

  • The rural areas are lesser than the urban areas because of the human activities . The places in the rural area are mostly villages as always villages kare cool because of the human activities like farming etc ,. . This shows that temperature in urban areas are > temper in rural areas.

c) Reason :-

  • People prefer going to hill stations in summer season because the summer season is warmer so , people prefer to go to hill stations . Hill Stations are cooler because they are higher , near to clouds . This shows that people prefer to go to cooler areas in summer.

Answer:

Explanation:

A)  Chennai lies on thermal equator and near the coast. The coastal areas have more humidity whereas Delhi lies in the northern part of India which is away from coastal plains. This prove that Chennai is humid than Delhi

B)  The lack of such evapotranspiration in the city leads to the city experiencing higher temperature than its surroundings. UHI (URBAN HEAT ISLAND) also decrease air quality in the cities, thanks to pollution generated by industrial and automobile exhaust, higher extent of particulate matter and greater amounts of dust than in rural areas.

C) We visit hill station in summer to get a temporary relief from the scorching heat of sun. In hilly areas the temperature remain favorable. It is not freezing cold in hill stations during summer and thus any group of people can enjoy the scenic beauty of nature in the lap of mountains or hills.
