Give reasons for the following:
(a) The human testes are located outside the abdominal cavity.

a) Now, The testis are located outside the abdominal cavity in the scrotum because sperm production by the testis requires a lower temperature than the normal body temperature.

b) The organisms produced without fertilization of the egg are called parthenogenetic organisms. In honey bees, the male bees are forms from unfertilized eggs and hence honey bees are called parthenogenic
