Give reasons for the following :
(a) Wearing of cotton clothes in summer is more comfortable.
(b) The water kept in an earthen pot becomes cool in summer.

(a) Cotton clothes are good absorber of sweat. During evaporation of sweat, heat is taken up by the body, which makes us feel cool. 

(b)  On a hot day, water from the pot evaporates faster through its pores,          which makes it cool.

Water looses its temperature through small pores present in the pot. Hence in an earthen pot (matka) become cool during summer.
