⏩Covalent bonds are directional bonds whereas ionic bonds are directional because, covalent bonds are formed by the overlapping of half filled atomic orbitals so they are directional.
⏩In case of ionic bond, each ion is surrounded by opposite charged ions which indicates that they are non-directional.
