(i) In the bryophyllum the leaves had leaf buds that develops adventitious roots. Rose leaves doesnt have leaf buds as they can grow by the method called grafting thatswhy their leaves do not gave rise to produce new plants.

(ii) Complex multicellular organisms cannot give rise to new organism because the tissue and specialised cell make up the organs in the body. Organisms at higher complex levels cannot give rise to new individuals through regeneration because they have organization of their organs system at different levels.

Answer:

Ans1).. Leaves of broophyllum have notches or buds on their margin which convert into plantlets and then plants while getting favourable climatic conditions.

Ans2)... More complex organism are not able to reproduce by regeneration because they are not just the random collection of cells. Many cells combine together to form a tissue then organ and each organ have specialised position and function in the body.
