Answer:

1) Yeast is added to dosa's batter so that the process of fermentation can take place. The process of fermentation takes around 8 hours and so it is suggested to keep the batter of dosa for 8 hours before preparing one. Fermented dosa's are good for health as they help is digestion and are good for cholesterol as well.

2) It is important to brush your teeth and flossing to prevent gum disease. Brushing ensures the removal of plaque, which is the primary cause for tooth decay and gum disease; it also arrests the build-up of any plaque formation.

3) Pickles are kept in households for years and to ensure they do not go bad soon, lots of salt is added to them. Sugar and salt reduce the water content and make it unavailable for the growth of microorganisms. As a result, the foods get preserved.

4) Food from puffed or enlarged cans should not be consumed because sometimes it is not only the hydrogen gas inside the cans that has resulted in its swelling. They give off carbon dioxide which spoils the food inside the can and also results in its swelling.
