i) The smell of lighted incense stick spread several meters away.

This is because the incense stick is burnt to produce fragnance, which is also a gaseous matter. Hence, diffusion takes place in both air and the incense stick.

ii) A liquid has a fixed volume but not a fixed shape.

This is because it's water molecules are loosely packed and takes shape of the container in which is it poured.

iii) Ice floats over water.

This is because Ice is less denser than water, and this is due to it has cage like structures which makes it's density light, and hence lighter than water.

iv) A wooden table is called a solid at room temperature.

This is because at room temperature, the solid matter, table has no effect on the attraction forces on the molecules (IMFA)  and hence, it is stable and fixed in it's shape, at room temoerature.

Reason : The smell of lighted incense stick spread several meters away⠀because when they are lighted they get converted into the gaseous form and the particles of gas moves from high concentration area to low concentration and by this they intermixes with particles of air and the smell reaches several metres away . This process is known as diffusion .

⠀Reason : Liquid has a fixed volume but not a fixed shape because according to the properties of Liquid, it has Intermolecular force of attraction is lesser and they are losely bound . So , that's why liquid has a fixed volume but not a fixed shape.

Reason : Ice floats over water because ice has less density than water and therefore it's floats on water .
