i.e they release oxygen by converting the c02 and water into oxygen and glucose and that whole process is known as photosynthesis.

actually the plants needed sunlight to carry out photosynthesis and that is the reason that why without sunlight the plants could not release oxygen,

because if there would be no sunlight then in turn there would not be the breakdown of co2 and water into glucose and oxygen
