wood is a bad conductor of electricity. and wood is not malleable therefore its not used to make wires

Urna: The very first reason why wires can not be drawn from woods is because wood is not ductile, it is breakable, then comes its powers of conductivity.

Wires cannot be drawn from wood because, wood is a bad conductor of electicity(it is an insulator). And, wood does not assist the properties which metals have such as Malleability.

Urna: It is ductility the ability to draw metals into wires. Malleability means ability of metals to flatten into sheets.
