Glaciers are nothing but a solid form of liquid or water it is found on the high altitude which has a very low pressure. so it has low velocity compare to water in rivers.

Glacier is a small mass of ice. It is irregular in shape. It has a very low velocity as it is ice, ice being a solid can't move fast in the water and it's way is abrupted by many incoming stones.
