(i) Sodium metal being the most reactive metal according to the reactivity series . As sodium metal reacts vigorously with water and rapidly with the oxygen present in air. So it is kept immersed in kerosene to prevent contact of sodium from air and water.
(ii) Copper sulphate (CuSO4) also known as blue vitrol is blue in colour and when some amount of aluminum powder is added to it then displacement reaction takes place in which aluminium being more reactive than copper displaces it from its sulphate and forms aluminium sulphate and copper respectively.
The reaction is:-
Hence as a result of this reaction the blue colour of the solution is lost when aluminum powder is added.

Answer :
(i) Sodium (Na) being a very highly reactive metal is kept immersed in kerosene so that it doesn't react to the oxygen present in the atmosphere.
(ii) When aluminum is added to copper sulphate the blue colour of the copper sulphate solution vanishes because aluminium is more reactive than copper so it displaces copper from its sulphate.
