1st ceilings of cinema halls are curved so that sound waves get reflected at such an angle that they directly reach the audience after reflecting.

as in empty room no object is present to absorb sound so it collide will wall of room and eco is provid whereas in filled room the sound energy is absorb by there substance and it don't collide..
