Since water is a conductor ofelectricity when water is poured on the fire caused by an electricshort circuit, the water mayconduct the electricity and the person pouring water mayexperience an electric shock or even may be electrocuted. Carbon dioxide or other bad conductors can be used for putting out the fire.

hi friend hope this answer helps you
WE SHOULD NOT USE WATER AS A FIRE EXTINGUISHER IF THERE IS A FIRE BREAKOUT BECAUSE OF A ELECTRIC SHORT CIRCUIT . BECAUSE WATER IS A GOOD CONDUCTOR OF ELECTRICITY AND IT MAY LEAD TO DEATH OF THE PEOPLE NEARBY.
