Voltmeter is used to measure potential difference between two points. if thevoltmeter is connected in series then the potential diff between two consecutive points will be zero. ... This is necessarybecause objects in parallel experience the same potential difference. n ammetermeasures the electric current in a circuit
A Voltmeter has very high resistance to ensure that it's connection do not alter flow of current in the circuit. Now if it isconnected in series then no current will be there in the circuit due to it's high resistance. Hence it is connected in parallelto the load across which potential difference is to be measured.

1)ammeter is connected in series as it measures the cureent so tht it draws highest current n measure it..2)voltmeter is connected in parallel so tht it takes minimum current n measure the p.d..3)it is so becoz then it will take minimum correct n hence will give us the incorrect measurement of the current....4)it is so becoz then the voltmeter will take max current n hence give us the incorrect p.d
