2. We should never join the two
terminals of a cell directly by a wire3
3. Filament is used in a bulb
4. The outer covering of electric wires is
made of plastic

Answer:

1)due to chemical reactions in it

2) because doing that complete the circuit which will lead to energy wastage

3)heating the filament leads it to glow

4) because plastic is a good insulator

5)naked wire give a electric shock to the electrician so to avoid this they wear rubber gloves while handling

6) because even though wood is an insulating substance water is a conductor so it acts like a conductor

Cells producing electricity

  1. Special chemical reactions which occur inside the electrical cell, result in oxidation and reduction of the substances inside the cell. This produces electrical energy. Normal batteries work like this. Some electrical cells produce electricity without using chemical energy.
