Hii..
1)Glottis i.e the opening of the trachea or wind pipe is covered by epiglottis so as to prevent the entering of bolus or food which we eat into the wind pipe. When we swallow the chewed food ..epiglottis closes the opening to prevent the food from entering into trachea.
2)Lung alveoli are the place of exchange of the gases in the lungs.Hence the exchange of gases takes place through the blood capillaries i.e O2 absorbed into the blood capillaries and CO2 removed out. Alveoli are thus covered with blood capillaries for easy exchange of gases.

1) Glottis covers epiglottis so that food could not enter the pharynx and move inside the lungs while swallowing the food materials.
2) Lung alveoli is covered by blood capillaries for exchange of oxygen and carbon dioxide from blood and de oxygenated blood changes into oxygenated.
