a) Plastic is an insulator. Since a frying pan can get very hot, plastic handles are attached to the pan.

b) Burning of plastic causes the release of gases such as carbon monoxide, which are air pollutants. They even cause water pollution as these gases may mix with precipitation and form corrosive acid rain.

c) Nylon is a very durable fibre. Since a rope is required to be strong, nylon is used.

d) Refrigerators have a foam core because it is a good insulator and can resist low temperatures without losing the cooling effect.

e) Plastic is an insulator. It is used to cover wires in order to protect the conduction of electricity to the surroundings and to people. It is also flexible and can bend around corners.

f) Bakelite is a thermosetting plastic that is a very good insulator of electricity.

Hope it helped...If it did, plz mark it as the brainliest!
